Attachment Methods
Like all Rightline Gear Car Top Bags, the Sport 3 can be installed on vehicles that have cargo racks and those without them. For vehicles with a cargo rack, loop the straps around the rack's side rails, cross bars, or both. For vehicles without a rack, run the Sport 3's straps through the vehicle and around the carrier or add the Rightline Gear Car Clips (sold separately) to secure the Sport 3 to a ledge on the vehicle's door frame. On most vehicles, the best ledge is found under the door mounted weather molding, however, a door frame metal ledge, a rain gutter, or over the top of the weather molding itself will also work.
ZipRight In-The-Flap Technology
Rightline Gear carriers feature the innovative ZipRight System, a urethane coated zipper located on the protective flap to keep rain out. Other bags feature a conventional zipper located at the junction of the protective flap and the bag--right where the wind forcefully drives a large amount of rain water. ZipRight's "in the flap technology" solves this age old car top bag problem, minimizing the chance of water entering the bag by a simple design change.
Dual Seam Technology
Rightline Gear Cargo Bags are made from PVC Mesh (a nylon re-enforced PVC) and Hydrotuff Material (a PVC-backed 600D polyester). The two materials are sewn together for strength and then welded along the same line to make the seam waterproof. The end result is a highly durable bag that lets you travel with the peace of mind that your gear will stay dry. The bag's materials keep their properties in extremely hot or cold temperatures, and are rated at UPF50 for UV protection which means they block 98% of the sun's harmful rays. The vivid colors of Rightline Gear Cargo Bags will not fade over time and the screen printed logos are sealed in place.
