Installation with the U-Bolt Mounting System

Installation and/or removal of the Sidekick Rooftop Cargo Box from your rack is easy and fast via Thule's U-Bolt mounting system. This nearly tool-free mounting system allows you to attach your rooftop box to virtually any roof rack in minutes. Each corner of the Sidekick has a series of four pre-bored holes aligned along the length of the box. Included U-Bolt hardware is slid up from the bottom, across the crossbars of your rack and into two of these four holes. Once through, the hardware attaches to one of the four supplied knobs. Simply twist the threaded knob to get a secure hold that you can count on, and easily remove as you please. Also included as part of this system are all the hardware needed. Because of the pre-bored holes, the Sidekick requires a minimum spacing of rack crossbars of 23⅝", and a maximum spacing of 32 1/16".

Installation and/or removal of the Atlantis Rooftop Cargo Box from your rack is easy via Thule's patented Quick-Grip mounting system. This tool-free mounting system allows you to attach your rooftop box to virtually any roof rack in less than 5 minutes. The Quick-Grip system utilizes a two-armed pincer mechanism controlled by a simple knob control. The Atlantis contains four of these knobs embedded within the bottom of the box, each set along two internal tracks that can be moved forward or back along these tracks to accommodate your existing rack crossbar configuration. As a knob is turned, the pincers are released down and inward from the bottom the cargo box. These clamp around crossbars providing fast, maximized holding power that you can count on.

Simple Use, Stowage and Security

Once Thule's Atlantis Rooftop Cargo Box is installed it is ultra easy to use. Secure, slip-free stowage of gear is provided via two tie down straps, included with the cargo box, that connect to the inner edges of the Quick-Grip units and cinch down tightly. In addition, easy access to gear is guaranteed with Thule's dual-side opening system built into the lid of Atlantis series models that allows the lid to be opened from either lengthwise side of the box. Installation of the Tahoe Rooftop Cargo Bag is simple. Designed for use with virtually any roof rack -- Thule or otherwise -- it fits between your rack's crossbars and is secured via heavy-duty cargo buckles, anchoring rings and double stitched webbing. (If the distance between your crossbars is less than 41-inches, increase the distance or drape the remaining length of the bag over rear crossbar.) The buckles and straps allow you to attach the bag either to the crossbars at the front and rear, to rack elements at the sides, or both using the included four attachment straps. Altering the positioning of the bag when draped over a vehicle is made easy with the inclusion of reinforced handles along the side straps that allow virtually anyone to move the bag with ease.
