Rio Rincon Saga Trilogy Description The Rio Rincon Saga is the story of five boys, three Americans and two Mexicans, who grew up on two separate farms in the fictional farming town of Rio Rincon in the Salinas Valley not far from John Steinbeck’s home. The three Americans were born on their parents’ farm in Rio Rincon on Christmas a few days after the end of WWI. The Mexicans came north with their family by mule-pulled wagon from deep in Mexico You first met the three American boys at the conclusion of The Guadalcanal Campaign Trilogy in The Night of the Leonids at Guadalcanal 1942, and you will now meet the two Mexican boys. The families of the five boys, who were active in Boy Scouts, were intertwined throughout the twenties and thirties and on into WWII in the second book of the trilogy, the Night of the Burma Road Conflict Indochina 1941-1942, where the boys served as U.S. Army snipers. All five boys joined the U.S. Army reserves in Rio Rincon and chose to serve as enlisted men. After a firefight with a Japanese Army company, all five boys were MIA for many years. You will need to read the Rio Rincon Saga to learn their eventual fate. I believe you will enjoy reading the Rio Rincon Saga, and will want to go on to read the other trilogies of The Pacific Rim Saga. Draco
